Sponsor a bed
$100 a month covers one resident’s bed — a person, not a percentage — with recognition in the home.
Six beds in Dallas for people who need transitional housing — a home, not just a roof. However you give, it goes toward a front-door key.
Our campaign goal buys, renovates, furnishes, and launches the first six-bed home in Dallas — everything between an empty house and a front-door key, including insurance, licensing, and the first weeks of operation.
Once a home is open, government housing programs help cover its ongoing costs, so future residents don’t depend on us re-raising your gift. With stays averaging about six months, one home can welcome more than 90 people over ten years.
The “more than 90 people” estimate assumes six beds, average stays of about six months, and a conservative 75% occupancy.
The SOLACE Community Foundation, our planned 501(c)(3) charitable arm, is expected to file its application in 2027. Until it is approved, gifts are acts of generosity and are not tax-deductible.
Each level maps to something real: a bed, a room, a move-in day.
Toward a move-in kit: sheets, towels, and toiletries for a resident’s first night
Pantry staples and household supplies for the home for two weeks
A new mattress, frame, and bedding for one resident
A shared bedroom fully furnished: two beds, dressers, a desk, and a lamp
The entire home furnished — every bedroom, the kitchen, the living room
The complete safety renovation: egress, smoke systems, bathrooms, and kitchen

Furniture and household goods furnish rooms at almost no cost. Food and pantry items keep house pantries stocked, lower residents’ out-of-pocket costs, and support community meals.
We’ll match what you have to what each home needs right now, and arrange pickup or a drop-off time — so nothing goes to waste.

We welcome churches, mosques, synagogues, temples, and faith-based nonprofits. Invite us for a 10-minute presentation, make a monthly commitment of any size, run food and goods drives, or offer volunteers and mentors. Ten congregations giving $500 a month would provide $60,000 a year of steady support.
Organizations already doing this work are partners, not competitors. Partners keep their name, board, donors, and mission, and can join our referral network so residents move between providers without starting over.
We want to work alongside the VA, the local Continuum of Care, domestic violence shelters, reentry coalitions, hospital discharge planners, and 211 — so the people you serve can find a home that fits their program.
Match campaign gifts, sponsor a bed or a renovation, or support employment programs for residents.
We’re building tools so every donor can see the home they supported, when a resident moved in, and the outcomes that home produces — and we will publish our outcomes every year.
